Explorations in Brand Development & Campaign Design
The following projects focus on the development new brands or the evolution of existing brands through digital and physical touchpoints across marketing, product design, packaging and service delivery. Explorations ranged from 24 hours - 3 months and were meant to be creative excises to push my my current skill set or investigate new design disciplines.
SIX STUDIOS
Exploration in Product Design, Wearables and Brand Ethos
The following project encompasses the branding, product design marketing campaign for a proposed jewelry micro brand. Six Studios is a fictional company that sits within the luxury fashion market and develops high end jewelry using advancements in 3D scanning, parametric design and additive manufacturing. The Six Studios client is daring, inspired by the world around them and always seeking to push the envelope. Their jewelry should reflect that. Each piece is custom to the client using a 3D LiDAR scanner that is then brought into Fusion 360 CAD to tailor the model to the anatomy of the wearer. The final ring is 3D printed by Shapeways in copper with a rose gold coating.
MARTA ARTS SOCIAL CAMPAIGN
Exploration in Guerrilla Marketing, Campaign Development and Branding
A branding and identity System to promote arts within MARTA Stations completed during a 24 hour hackathon sponsored by Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). MARTA is the primary Atlanta transit organization overseeing both train and bus systems within the metro area. In addition to routine transit operations, each of the MARTA stations contain original art commissioned specifically for the stations. However, most residents of the city are unaware of this extensive network. This exploration aimed to explore how MARTA’s existing built infrastructure could be used to highlight is robust arts program and incentivize residents to explore stations.
PARTNERSHIP FOR INFLUENZA VACCINE INTRODUCTION
Exploration in Logo and Visual Identity Development
In the following project, the team was asked to create a logo and branding package for the Task Force for Global Health’s Influenza immunization program, PIVI. Each year, PIVI efforts help bring thousands of unused flue vaccines to people all over the world. For this project, the client asked for a logo that represented the global reach of PIVI’s efforts and the interconnection between PIVI and its partners. The final identity is designed to scale across PIVI’s mutliple digital and print communication channels. It also needed to work in grayscale and be easy to recognize for non-english speaking audiences.
ATLANTA VA MEDICAL CENTER BRANDED CAMPAIGN
Using Systems Thinking and Themes of Nostalgia to Elicit Loyalty
The national VA system is made up of 22 unique regions nation wide. Atlanta VA Medical Center (AVAMC) serves the largest number of veterans in the state of Georgia. Within the AVAMC, wheelchair loss is a significant issues. Each year, inventory is lost and uses up unnecessary staff time and portions of the operational budget. The Project team conducted site visits and expert interviews to develop a systems level understanding of this challenge. We then developed custom branded advertising that harkened back to WWI WPA advertising to elicit feelings of nostalgia, and loyalty towards ensuring wheel chairs are properly returned.
